Legislation

Dominica’s Offshore Company structure is governed by the International Business Companies Act 10 of 1996 as amended.

Limitations

Under the 1996 Act as amended an IBC cannot:

(a) carry on business with persons domiciled or resident in Dominica ;

(b) own an interest in real property situated in Dominica except in very limited circumstance;

(c) Accept banking deposits

(d) Accept insurance contracts.

 

An IBC must have a registered Agent and Registered Office in Dominica.
